Quick Start Guide
Get started with FYOS in 5 minutes. This guide covers the essential workflow for evaluating funding opportunities.
Step 1: Open the Screener
Navigate to the Screener tab. You'll see a table of all active funding opportunities across supported exchanges.
Key Columns
| Column | What to Look For |
|---|---|
| Real APR | Survivable yield after mirage adjustment |
| Mirage Ratio | % of headline yield that won't survive (lower is better) |
| Half-Life | How long until funding rate decays 50% (longer is better) |
| Survivability | Overall persistence score (0-100) |
| Edge Value | Composite opportunity score |
Step 2: Identify Quality Opportunities
Filter for opportunities with:
- Mirage Ratio < 50% — More than half the yield is survivable
- Half-Life > 24 hours — Funding persists beyond a day
- Survivability > 60 — Strong persistence characteristics
Step 3: Simulate a Position
Click on any opportunity to open the Simulator:
- Enter your position size in USD
- Set your holding horizon (hours)
- Adjust fee assumptions if needed
- Review the Net Expected Return
The simulator accounts for:
- Funding decay over your holding period
- Capacity constraints at your position size
- Entry and exit fee drag
Step 4: Build a Portfolio (Pro/Desk)
Use the Capital Planner to:
- Enter your total capital
- Set target horizon
- Review automated allocation recommendations
- Run stress tests on your portfolio
